Dan is now in his 14th year as Director of Instruction at Rolling Hills Country Club. Dan played college golf for Wake Forest University and East Tennessee State University. For the last 29 years, Dan has been teaching golf in the Metropolitan area. His teaching philosophy has been influenced by Butch Harmon, Craig Harmon, Jim McLean, Bob Toski and Dr. Bob Rotella. He has done extensive work in the area of Sports Psychology and has studied with numerous coaches on the Mind Body Connection. He has introduced and mentored hundreds of students to golf who have gone on to enjoy the game for a lifetime. Dan has coached many students on making the transition from the driving range to the golf course and from the golf course to playing in regional, state and national tournaments. He is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Professional and is highly skilled in putting and short game technique. Dan works with a wide range of men, women and juniors of all skill levels. Dan has worked with Gary Hallberg who played on the PGA Tour for many years. He has taken his students from beginner golfer to competing on college golf teams. His students have gone on to qualify for USGA Championships, have won many Metropolitan area tournaments, and won over 30 Club Championships.
